My World-Your World/Louisville, KY Family and Children’s Photographer

The wonderful ladies over at 4 The Love of Focus put together an awesome yearlong challenge for us entitled My World/Your World. We were randomly paired up with a fellow forum member and will document our lives weekly through a series of words/topics chosen by us. I am really excited about this project as I have been longing for a way think outside the box a little. To push myself creatively and to see  how my partner interprets the same.

Meet my awesome partner

My name is Kelly Quaschnick, aka Kelly Q.  My photography is known as Creatively Yours Photography.  I’m from Spokane, WA- born and raised.  I’m married to an amazing man, and mom to 2 munchkins.  I have always loved photography- I took my camera everywhere with me when I was in highschool.  When I had my own kids like most people I was constantly taking pictures.  When I was disappointed that I couldn’t get the pictures myself, or at the chain studios, that I wanted.  I decided to start learning.  I’m a self taught, natural light photographer.  I’ve been in business for 1 year, and while I love all types of sessions highschool Seniors are my favorites.  I’ve also started dabbling in weddings, and want to start to focus there more as well.  If I don’t have my camera in my hands you can usually find me with a cup of coffee.  If I’m having a good day I’ll be balancing camera, kids, and coffee.  =)  That is a bit about me.  Over the next 52 weeks I’m sure you’ll learn even more about my world.

This weeks theme is Resolution and I know what you are thinking….. how cliche’. I thought that for a second too until I really gave it some thought.  A new year brings us a new and fresh start. I love a fresh start so I decided to do what every woman over the age of 30 with kids wants to do and that is lose weight.  Pretty straightforward right? Wrong! To paraphrase a dear friend of mine, who is the epitome of where I would like to be health wise, “losing weight is just a side effect of living healthy”.  Notice she did not say eating healthy but LIVING healthy and that is exactly what I aim to to this year. As I made the commitment I thought to myself can I really do this? Am I setting myself up to fail? I do what most mothers tend to do and put off doing things for myself because its hard to fit into the hectic schedule of life as a mother (this goes for SAHM’s and working moms alike).  Yes, this is going to be hard and yes, I am going to want to give up at some point but I have a great health coach and a wonderful community of people to help keep me motivated.  I will keep you posted from time to time on how my progress is going. You can also visit my partners blog for her take on this weeks theme.

Have a great year!
