I had the pleasure of photographing my little friend Miss Julia recently for her first birthday and once again I was mesmerized by her big blue eyes and her silly little grin. Since this was her first birthday pics we did a cake smash but it did not go all according to plan. This was the cleanest cake “smash” I have ever seen. It was more like a cake “touch” or a cake “poke”. Mom actually had to intervene and get her to squish it a little. I have also never met a kid who didn’t like cake but she was definitely not impressed. Ahh well, at least I thought the cake was good!
